Position: Full Time – 40 Hour Per Week
Required: Level 3 Personal Training Qualification
DKnine Fitness is a specialist Over 30’s Body Transformation Studio based in the heart of Cardiff. Helping busy over 30’s Men & Women start their health & fitness journey after years of putting it off.

About The Role
The Gym manager will be responsible for the daily operations of DKnine Fitness, with a key focus on generating a consistent flow of new sales, client retention, customer service, staff management, and the overall profitability of the location. - Monitor & manage staff to include training, scheduling, disciplining, team building, etc
- Professionally present company programmes, products to guests & prospects
- Set daily appointments & conduct follow-ups with clients, prospects, and leads
- Maintain high membership & merchandise sales and convert leads to clients
- Meet & exceed all sales quotas
- Conduct Weekly Team Meetings
- Make Weekly/Monthly Staff Rota’s + Holiday Management
- Managing/Setting Staff KPI’s
- Monthly 1 to 1 calls with staff
- Track & monitor sales
- Develop & implement client retention methods
- Complete administrative work consistently & accurately
- Assist & direct guests and members with high energy & enthusiasm
- Handle member service issues in a polite & timely manner
- Build positive relationships & good rapport with members and staff
- Maintain professional work related activity on social media
- 1-2-1 onboarding with new clients
- Cover any sessions, that cannot be covered
- Other duties as assigned

The gym can quickly go from a quiet chat with a client to an action-packed session in a matter of minutes. The role of the manager as mentioned above requires key sales & retention targets to be hit on a weekly basis. Experience/Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree preferred
– Certification in Fitness Instruction/Group Training/Personal Training (within 30 days)
– Certification in CPR & First Aid (within 30 days)
– Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sales and/or the fitness industry
– Strong Customer Service Skills
– Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
– Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowePoint) required.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions – Environment
The physical demands and working environment described below is representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting and a non-climate controlled gym area
Strength sufficient to frequently lift and/move up to 10 pounds below or at waist level and occasionally lift, move or carry objects over 40 pounds below and above waist level with assistance
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours. This position requires walking, standing, sitting, and stooping
Must be able to work in a multi-tasking, deadline-oriented environment
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the phone.
Salary, Bonuses & Hours
The Gym Manager Position is a full-time minimum 40 hour per week position. There are no dedicated set hours, with start time to be as early as 6.00am & finish as late as 8.00pm. Weekend working may also be needed.
The base salary for the position is: £21,000 per annum.
Bonus: £20 per sign up, after the initial 5 signs up per week.
Joint Accountabilities and Terms
The successful candidate for the Gym Manager role will begin a probationary period of between 30 – 60 days (to be discussed personally).
During this time, our company will train the Gym Manager on our methods, tools and practices, and welcome them into our environment. We also provide the successful candidate with the tools, training, and support to become quickly comfortable and efficient in their role.
After the probationary period is complete, the company and the successful candidate will evaluate this agreement and mutually determine if it continues, or if it is to be changed, or discontinued. We will evaluate this together, based on the personality traits demonstrated, as well as work performance and team chemistry.
