We are pleased to announce that the 'Get Qualified' Scheme, originally set to conclude in December 2024, will now continue throughout 2025. This fantastic initiative by the Maltese government offers students a 70% refund on tuition fees for completing eligible study programmes. All European Personal Training Institute (EPTI) Personal Training Diploma courses are approved for this scheme, making now the perfect time to invest in your future as a certified Personal Trainer.

What is the Get Qualified Scheme?

The Get Qualified Scheme is a Maltese government incentive that allows students to reclaim 70% of their tuition fees upon completing a recognised qualification. Whether you're pursuing a certification, diploma, degree, or postgraduate qualification, this scheme significantly reduces the cost of your education. For EPTI students, this means you can focus on becoming a professional Personal Trainer without worrying about financial barriers.

Wondering how it works? After you graduate, you’ll receive a refund in the form of a cheque from the tax department. These refunds, sometimes called “Tax Credits,” ensure your investment in education pays off—literally!

The scheme is open to all individuals residing in Malta who successfully complete a qualification rated at MQF Level 3 or higher. This includes:

• Gym Instructor Certification
• Personal Trainer Diploma 

All EPTI Personal Training Diploma courses, including our industry-leading Master PT Diploma, meet these criteria, making you eligible to claim your tuition refund.

Once you graduate, you’ll need to submit your application to Malta Enterprise, including proof of your completed qualification and payments. Upon approval, you’ll receive 70% of your eligible tuition fees as a tax credit refund.

During the Budget 2025 announcement, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana confirmed the extension of the Get Qualified Scheme into 2025. The scheme continues to cover eligible study programmes, including all EPTI courses.
