EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE CPR & FIRST AID COURSE

Our Emergency First Response™ Primary & Secondary Care (Senior First Aid, CPR & AED) Certificate is accredited by the Health and Safety Executive (Great Britain) for the purposes of first aid in the workplace; SkillsActive in the UK and by many organisations worldwide.

Our courses are delivered as a practical skills workshop over a full day by a qualified EFR instructor.

All participating students will be given access to CPR & First Aid training manuals and accompanying video lessons. Students must complete the knowledge reviews in the manual prior to the practical training day.

After you successfully pass the exam and complete the course, your Emergency First Response™ Course Completion Authorisation (CCA) card will be sent to you. Your certification is valid for 2 years before a refresher course is required.

COURSE UNITS

PRIMARY CARE (CPR)
Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to ensure participants have the confidence and knowledge to provide care if an emergency situation arises.
Primary Care (CPR) skills taught in this course:
Scene Assessment, Barrier Use, Primary Assessment, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR – Chest compressions and rescue breathing), Automated External Defibrillator Use, Serious Bleeding Management, Shock Management, Spinal Injury Management, Conscious and Unconscious Choking Management, Emergency Oxygen Use.

SECONDARY CARE (FIRST AID)
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.
Secondary Skills taught in this course:
Injury Assessment, Illness Assessment, Bandaging, Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures.
